Romans 12:2
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God -- what is good and acceptable and perfect."

I used to worry a lot(The Eagles The Long Run just popped in my head). But in the Dale Carnegie course, there is a saying that helped me. "Live in day-tight compartments." So that gets me down to worrying only one day at a time. Since that course in the 1990's, I have found that worry does mean you care. My mother-in-law(RIP), always said "If I worry then nothing bad will happen to you when you are on the road." That is true as we never had an accident traveling from Omaha to Kansas. But the worry I want to blog about is that worry that eats away at our lives, consumes our health and what I feel feeds those in power and those that want power.
I want to talk and dialog about this and how Romans 12:2 and many other passages help me live my faith. I hope this stirs in those reading this, some strength and some discordance. For I believe that only in diversity of thought can we grow into the spirits that our Creator wills for us.
I broke this into 2 blogs, The first category is a blog of things I wrote Theological Reflections on. Some will be from earlier times and some new. I am a believer of a Creator and that we were given Free Will. I believe very simply, that God's will is for us to RESPOND SELFLESSLY. We run into trouble as we have a certain amount of selfishness in self-preservation and that Free Will. I think that the reason we had to have free will is so that we could WANT to be selfless. If it was built in, then we don't know the full impact of selflessness. I chose this picture of my Education for Ministry Mentor's 1938(I think) MG. You will have to go to the blog for what it means to me.
The second category is a random pondering of issues of this life and my ideas to solve them. As an Episcopalian, I believe we can have heaven here on earth, which is simply all people living selflessly and caring, truly caring for anyone and everyone. No small feat but with God, all things are possible, right? And really, whether one believes in God, Allah, Yahweh, Buddha, or nothing, if they have this selflessness to the world, they are in Peace and Righteous. The picture I chose here is a British Police Box this is a Time Machine (TARDIS - Time And Relative Dimension In Space) from the Dr Who TV show. Check that out and see what that image means to me.
I welcome comments and criticism and ideas. If something troubles you, comment. I am not here to convince nor be convinced but only to share views and adjust mine accordingly. I hope you will to.
